Well I decided I was going to fix that lock and I sure did. I was missing two super small springs and had one left. And I did it, I fixed the lock for good! I looked for the two missing springs and had no luck. So, the only reasonable solution ...lose the one spring I still had and by golly I did just that. Now that darn lock is fixed for good...as in no lock! If you need a lock fixed, don't call me!

They say as long as we are alive, we continue to learn. I learned a new lesson today ... do not, I REPEAT, do not take a lock apart, unless of course you are into searching the carpet for microscopic springs. Quite frankly I'm not. This item is now going to be offered as a potential pistol case with an "opening for a lock" as I cannot find those stupid little springs! Went to "Farmerstown" to sell some stuff at the flea market. I don't know about any "answers blowin' in the wind", but there sure was some merchandise. The gentleman next to me had about 10 dozen pair of gloves flying. The fellow on the other side had a box of about 30 fishing bobbers go sailing. I just spent the day picking up stuff everywhere and moved a few items of my own too. Maybe they should consider changing the name from "Farmerstown" to "Little Chicago". |
