If we're working at the Warehouse you are ALWAYS welcome to stop and "poke" around! Please keep in mind..it's not pretty:) Think AMERICAN PICKERS not pretty!! LOL...boxes piled to the ceiling waiting on us to unpack. Lots of treasures in those boxes but if you hate clutter...you are going to be overwhelmed and should visit one of our booths:) Pictures of the Booths and the Warehouse on our Booth Photo Page.
God has blessed us with so many venues to sell our treasures that we were able to turn our original shop in Trinway into a warehouse. It's the place we drop all of our "finds" from various auctions while waiting on a chance to unpack, sort and price before we take them to one of our spaces at Social Supper in Dresden, OH or Finder's Keepers in Heath, OH or Berlin Village Antique Mall in Berlin, OH. Seriously not kidding about the boxes piled sky high!!! Claustrophobics will NOT want to shop here:) See the desk? Keep wondering when this pile of books is going to bury us while we're working. You probably think we've lost our marbles (or we're candidates for the Hoarders Show) for sharing these photos of our work space/warehouse with you...(well...come to think of it...somewhere in one of these boxes...I bought a jar of marbles...now which box did I see those in...)...eventually it all does go back out the door to sell...just seems we can buy it faster than we can sort it!! LOL Anyway...the real reason for sharing these tell all photos? ... to warn you in advance before you open the door at the Dresden JUNK-Shun Warehouse:)

So much fun getting back in the swing of things after our trip to Florida. HUGE auction on Thursday. 9 hours of two rings:) Here are some of the goodies that found their way to our booth at Finder's Keepers in Heath, OH. French Provincial Night Stand 25.00 Fabulous brass vase of Spring Flowers! 35.00 Wood night stand 22.00 Adorable all wood sewing stand...bet this sat beside a sewing rocker many years ago! 22.00 Large pot of hydrangeas 8.00 Taking 8 boxes of smalls from the auction to Social Supper today. Picking up another load on Monday and most of it will be going to Social Supper too. I'll post the pics from Social Supper next week. Stop by and check out the new stuff if you get a chance!
Last one was the best one:) Beautiful blue skies, warm temps and cooling breezes...who could ask for anything more! Met so many nice people. Even ran into some of our auction friends from Ohio!
Fun sisters on a buying trip for her shop, Country Roads in Crossnore NC..couldn't believe it...we go there every summer over the 4th for a family reunion! She made a huge dent in our inventory:) They have the nicest thrift shop in Crossnore that supports a local school for underprivileged children. Plan on stopping in to see her shop this year when we go down to the Crossnore thrift shop...she even asked us to bring some more stuff! Another young lady who has an antique booth in FL did some serious shopping with us too. She went home with our "half a violin case" that I was going to use for a wall grouping...she's going to use it as a prop...glad someone else could appreciate it! The guys thought I was nuts when I bought it:) The name of her business is "High Falootin Junk"...how cute it that? You'll have to check out her website: www.highfalootinjunk.com Couldn't convince anyone they needed our Tecumseh Indian Sign...it's coming home. Julie and Shellie will be glad it is. The couple that set up beside us have been livin' our dream for 14 years. They live in their 5th wheel full time, winter in Florida/summer in Ohio. Their big old truck has over 400,000 miles on it and still going. She comes to Zanesville once a month when they are in Ohio and eats at Papa Chucks with her button club!! <sigh>...I wanna be just like 'em when we grow up! AND the really good part of all this was we sold enough stuff we could get our clothes in to come home...really worried about that for a few days. Can't believe how junk breeds and multiplies when it's locked up at night:) Another beautiful day...we've been so blessed with great weather! Very foggy this morning...we missed our turn:) Ms. GPS took care of us though! Markets of Marion has a special outdoor spot for "garage sale" type vendors. Great spot...except for the port-i-potty RIGHT BESIDE us! Got a little "fragrant" in the afternoon:) Met so many interesting people today. One woman we met is living the dream!!! She winters in FL...has a camper in a campground near Ocala and rents a permanent booth in the market to sell her jewelry. Heads to the Smokey Mountains for the summer and fall. Has another permanent camper right "on the river" there and sells her jewelry at several flea markets in that area! My idea of the perfect set up!! Here are some pics of our booth set up today: See how close we were to the potty??! You can see how foggy it was in this photo... Hard to see...but in the back of that mini-van is the MR. taking a nap:) He's been a bit under the weather the past couple of days. Next several photos are just some random shots of our displays... The McGuffy Reader sold today as well as 4 of the red transfer ware bowls. The bowls were purchased by a Tri-Valley Alumni from 1970!! Last name Baum...from Adamsville...maybe you know her! |
