Last Sunday was so much fun! Dave and I took off for the day to Springfield, OH to the Springfield Extravaganza Flea Market and the Vintage Marketplace Show. We weren't disappointed! The flea market has been going on for many, many years, the Vintage Marketplace is new. So many talented people selling their vintage creations and wares. Just looking at all the displays had my head turning so much I was dizzy:) LOL!
Isn't this an adorable outfit? Love her vintage petticoat! We have a white one in our space at Social Supper in Dresden and if I looked like her, I might try to pull this off:) Probably one of my very favorite displays! Loved the textures and layers of this display...including the "made from old sewing patterns" tissue paper flowers, the fern and the old boots:) Did you see how she used twine to make a "hinge" for her old suitcase? How clever! See that sign? It says, Good Girls Go to Heaven, Bad Girls Go to Paris":) Overheard several people saying how nice it was to see some bright colors when they came through this booth. Vendor had adorable wreaths made from old afghans! You can see one hanging to the back of this display. We have these same chairs in our booths! I love how she painted them all black including the vinyl seats! Ours are the light wood with aqua seats that you can see on our PHOTO PAGE. Doesn't this sweet display kinda take your breath away? Buffets were big...we saw one in almost every booth. Some painted, some not. This one was the softest gray... I so wanted this sign:) If you missed this one...you get another chance:) September 14-16, 2012 in Springfield OH. Click here to visit their website.
